Remember Me Oh Lord!

Many times in this blog I have spoken of my desire to be married and have many Children of my own. At the age of 26 I remember calling my mother and telling her that I felt I was now ready for marriage. 7 years later I am still waiting on the Lord. But I thank God, because 7 is the number of completion. The Lord has used this lack of fulfillment in my life to teach me many things and continues to do so even today.

Reading the Bible I find that a woman's desire for a husband and children is natural. Having one without the other does not satisfy either. I read the story of Leah who even though she was married was an unloved wife. The need for her husbands love and attention made her a miserable woman even though God gave her many children. Her rival Rachel on the other hand was blessed by the love of her husband but her lack of Children made her life miserable. It is clear that one must have both a loving husband and children to feel complete.

The Story of Hannah also puts this into perspective. Here is Hannah, a woman so loved by her husband that he blessed her in double portions. Yet her heart yearned for children of her own. The taunting of her rival did not make things any easier. The Bible says that she poured out her heart before the Lord and asked him to remember her. What does it mean for the Lord to remember you?

In the Bible, the word "Remember" as in when the Lord remembers his people, means to go into action on their behalf. It is not just to recall or to bring to memory. It is to look on their misery and do something to remove it. It is to express concern for that person and to act with loving care for them. When the Lord remembers you, he favors you and meets your need. Hence when he remembered Rachel, she got pregnant and bore Joseph. When he remembered Hannah, she too conceived. He went into action on their behalf in order to meet their need.

May the Lord remember you today. May he meet you at your point of need and shed light and favor where you need it. May he step into your situation and act on your behalf.

Promises of God - Yea and Amen!!

I have spoken of Isaiah 45 on this blog before, the passage from which I get my calling and purpose from the Lord. To plunder the enemies kingdom of the hidden treasures in secret places. For a while now I have been feeling messed up on the inside. Unfulfilled. I have been seeking God about my purpose and how to accomplish it. One of the things that has been ringing in my spirit for the last few weeks has been the name "Baal Perazim" which means God of the breakthrough. For David said "God has broken my enemies by my hand, like the bursting forth of waters." Now I am beginning to understand.

I have been having great warfare and yesterday was a particularly war filled day, but God broke through for me. During my prayers, I began to call him Baal Perazim over and over again. This morning I woke up and I felt the Lord impress in me that I will need a foundation to Manage the funds he will put in my hand. I have been mulling on a name for it all day. Then just now the Lord said to me that my harvest will come in like the breaking forth of many waters. There shall be much of it and it shall come out fast and furious. It will literally gush forth. I shall be like my mentor Mr. Wahome who woke up a pauper one day and went to sleep worth Ksh. 17 million that night and it has never stopped coming. The phrase "pile up gold as dust" just keeps ringing in my mind. The gold is coming and so is the Silver, I need a foundation to distribute the funds of the Lord to those who need them.

Zechariah 9:3

3And Tyrus did build herself a strong hold, and heaped up silver as the dust, and fine gold as the mire of the streets

If a Pagan King can do it with the help of the devil, how much more I, a child of the Most High God?

Job 22:21-30

21Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee.

22Receive, I pray thee, the law from his mouth, and lay up his words in thine heart.

23If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles.

24Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust, and the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brooks.

25Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defence, and thou shalt have plenty of silver.

26For then shalt thou have thy delight in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face unto God.

27Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee, and thou shalt pay thy vows.

28Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.

29When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person.

30He shall deliver the island of the innocent: and it is delivered by the pureness of thine hands.

This word just blessed my heart and I have just now seen it. You know how the word calls them "hidden treasures in secret places?" it is because only the devil knows where they are hidden. But they exist, and no one can find them except the Lord. Therefore in Isaiah 45 he says "I will take you by the hand...I will give you the treasures of darkness, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the LORD, he God of Israel, who summons you by name." Only God knows where the treasures are and only he can lead me to them. Now this is the word that blew my mind. It is found in the book of Job 28:7,8,23,24

"There is a path which no fowl knoweth, and which the vulture's eye hath not seen:

The lion's whelps have not trodden it, nor the fierce lion passed by it...

God understandeth the way thereof, and he knoweth the place thereof.

For he looketh to the ends of the earth, and seeth under the whole heaven;"

There is a path to the hidden treasures in secret places. A hidden path that no one and nothing know about. But God understands the way and knows the place where the treasures are. For nothing is hidden from his sight. He looks to the ends of the earth and sees everything under heaven. He shall take my hand and lead me there. That I may pile gold as dust, as mire in the streets for the sake of Israel his beloved. It is so, for it cannot be otherwise. In Jesus Holy and Mighty Name, Amen!

Sow in the Famine! Don't Stop Now!

I was speaking to a friend of mine a short while ago and he was telling me about how tough things have been for him. As we were talking I mentioned another friend who also was having a really tough time economically. After our conversation, I walked away thinking how crazy it was that when others were going through economic hardship God had preserved me. Then God spoke a word to my heart Daniel 11:32 "...they that know their God shall be strong and do exploits."

The Lord just kept ministering to my heart as I meditated on that word. This is our year of distinction and they that know their God shall continue to flourish in the midst of trouble. As I thought about that word, I began to wonder what that word "know" meant. Many of the people suffering at this time are Christians who I believe know and love God. So what is this knowing? The Lord said to me that knowing him meant not just being saved and reading the word of God, but entering into covenant with him and obeying the terms of the covenant which are laid out in his word.

He caused me to meditate on the last 7 months and how he accelerated my giving. I have never given the way I have done these last seven months. I gave sacrificially and didn't even realize it. I sowed so much seed that the enemy began to come against me. At one point I began to wonder what it was all about. I began to wonder if I had been deceived. The devil would say to me "look around you, what do you have to show for what you earn? You have given it all away." One time when the enemy was working me seriously I asked the Lord why he would not let me save and his answer was, "But you are saving. Where rust and moth do not destroy." That had not been the answer I was looking for, but I entered rest about saving and the peace of God was able to govern within me.

Today the Lord said to me that things will continue to be tough but in the famine I must keep on sowing. Just like Isaac did in Genesis 26. The distinction between the righteous and the wicked will be clear moving forward. Those who are his will be gathered to him and will flourish even in a barren land. The Lord revealed to me that the reason he had me sowing so much was because he knew that a famine was coming and just like in the days of Joseph, he had me store up abundantly during the time of plenty so that I will not feel the famine, and so that I will be a light for those who will suffer from it.

I am reminded of the hymn below known as Bringing In The Sheaves:

Sowing in the morning, sowing seeds of kindness,
Sowing in the noontide and the dewy eve;
Waiting for the harvest, and the time of reaping,
We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves.

Refrain

Bringing in the sheaves, bringing in the sheaves,
We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves,
Bringing in the sheaves, bringing in the sheaves,
We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves,

Sowing in the sunshine, sowing in the shadows,
Fearing neither clouds nor winter’s chilling breeze;
By and by the harvest, and the labor ended,
We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves.

Refrain

Going forth with weeping, sowing for the Master,
Though the loss sustained our spirit often grieves;
When our weeping’s over, He will bid us welcome,
We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves.

Refrain

Sowing can be painful, especially when you are broke or when God demands what we think is "just too much!" But one thing I know, that God is faithful to make sure that you reap a harvest if you faint not.

Psalm 126:5-6 says

Those who sow in tears
Shall reap in joy.
He who continually goes forth weeping,
Bearing seed for sowing,
Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing,
Bringing his sheaves with him.

The word says "continually goes forth" you must sow and keep on sowing. No giving up, no stopping, no reducing the amount you sow in fact, if you can, increase it. The word says you shall "doubtless" i.e there is no doubt about it, i.e FO SHO, there is a harvest for you and you shall come rejoicing carrying your harvest singing the Nigerian chorus:

Come and see oh...
Come and see
Come and see what the Lord has done x4

I believe my season for harvest has come. I shall begin to see my harvest and shall sing a new song to the Lord. Many times I have sown in tears, but I will now come back with laughter. Hey! My God has done it for me oh! Come and see!!!!

I AM A SOLUTION

I am a solution. I was born to solve a problem on earth. I am God’s response to a need that was created on earth. I am an answer to a question that God knew would be asked in my generation. For this reason, I was born. I did not come to this planet to make a living, pay bills and die. I am on an assignment that my generation needs me to complete. I am necessary. I was designed with a seed that the world is waiting for me to develop and is ready for me to deliver.
