Jehovah is a God of Covenant. Just like he made covenants with Noah, Abraham and the rest, he longs to covenant with you so that he will be your God forever. The blood of the covenant has already been shed in Jesus our Lord, and when you get saved you enter into the 'New Covenant' but I find that the understanding of all we get, our redemption package is lacking. You will never walk in what you are ignorant of. That is a fact. As such, I have determined to find out what the various covenants in God's word are and to do them.
With God, no amount of prayer, fasting or tears can get him to do something for you if you are out of covenant. You have to know what needs to be done to activate each covenant in your life. Today I studied the covenant of peace and came up with the following things to do, to ensure that God gives you peace.
1. Seek to know God (2 Peter 1:2, Matt 11:28-29)
2. Be led of God (Ps 23:1-2, Is 48:17-18)
3. Trust in God at all times (Ps 125:1, Is 26:3, Ps 119:165)
4. Be conscious of the Divine Presence you carry (Ps 23:4, Matt 28:20)
5. Be zealous for God (Num 25:10-12)
Once you line up with the covenant requirements, Peace will be ushered into your life.

His Portion
Last week was insane. I mean that literally. I was so up and down emotionally it was ridiculous. My poor best friend (Wassup natty dread!) had no clue what to say or do with me. One minute I was laughing, the next I was in tears! My Lord! Finally I got to the point where I said it had to be demonic. What in the world?! I was barking at everyone and all manner of other things. Until God spoke...
He just burst my emotional bubble. Turns out I was fearful and that unbelief was causing me to act all messed up. I never knew that fear could be that bad. And then he went ahead and worked on me and calmed me down. I could almost hear him say "Calm yourself down WOMAN!" I was discouraged and fearful about whether or not God would bring a mate into my life and about whether or not I would make it in business.
When I went to church yesterday morning, I was debating whether or not to give the amount of money God and I had agreed on. I wasn't sure I wanted to because I wasn't sure how soon I would get more money. Well, I finally quit being silly and gave God his portion. I had to go to my niece's birthday party and I didn't think I could afford a present, but I bought one anyway and then went to catch a matatu.
Guess what? As I entered the matatu I took out my phone to text a friend and realized that I had an MPESA message. A client had just paid me via MPESA and there was nothing to worry about. Isn't that a God action? I was so happy! I saw God too.
If you will give him his portion, he is committed to giving you the 100%. So there is nothing to fear, at any one time. The harvest is here, sow your seed and eat your bread then wait for more of the harvest. Hallelujah!
May God bless each one of you that has decided they will never cheat God of his portion.

Reading the Bible through in a year
I have purposed to read the Bible through this year and I can't tell you how proud I am when I cancel out another completed book in the table of contents. However, my heart has been crying out to God about that. I don't just want to read the Bible through by December only to find that it was an excercise in futility because my life did not change. So as I read I keep praying for revelation and for the transformation of my mind. He who started this good work in me will be faithful to complete it. I know this and keep reading, in faith believing, that my life will change for the better.

Provision in the Recession
Wow! I have not been on here for while. I missed all you people that read my blog while I was away. I have been one busy Kenyan! God has just been faithful beyond belief and has continued to watch over me keeping me as the apple of his eye.
Let me talk a little bit about last year. In 2008 God had me sow like I had never done before. I was giving so much I began to worry about not saving enough. I have always been the kind of person that is comforted by a lump sum in their bank account. Not this time. If I tried to hold back my money it became like a fire burning in my bones! So I kept on giving. I think it was in December that the Lord spoke to me from the story of Joseph and asked me to make sure and save 20% of my income. So I began to do that not really understanding what was up.
Well, what do you know?! God sees into the future! I was just dying to quit my job but did not know what I could possibly do with myself although I had an idea. I would walk into my office and prophesy to it and let it know that it was not going to be my office much longer. I would sit in my chair and let it know it would not hold me much longer. I prophesied even to my desk and PC! Talk about nuts! Well on January 31st I read the passover story and how the Israelites exited Egypt full of treasure. I wanted to anoint my doorpost at the office and prophecy my exit but I had forgotten my olive oil, so guess what I used? Vaseline. LOL!!! Child, I blessed that oil and put some of it at the top and on the sides on the door frame and decreed that it was time to exit out of the land of bondage.
Let me tell you Child of God, the Lord went into swift action. He made it unbearable for me, so much so that I put in my resignation of February 9th without any plan whatsoever on my next step. But I was at peace. I knew God would do it. I worked out my notice and left at the end of that month. That is when God took over, I told him that I needed at least one week to get my rest and then he could put me to work. He obliged. After that week was over, I began to work as a freelance writer. Can I tell you something? I have not struggled or stressed for money one bit! The seed that I sowed in 2008 just keeps bringing in my harvest. I have been working on my own for the last 3 weeks and I have more work than I could ever have imagined. When corporates like Zain are laying off workers for lack of profits, I'm enjoying plenty with no fear of the recession.
This is the God we serve. This right here is Jireh. Is Nissi. This is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. This is the God who was with Moses in the Wilderness. This one, is the one who helped Joshua take Jericho and conqeur the promised land. This one is the one I praise, honor and bow down to. He is from everlasting to everlasting. May his name be eternally praised.
