Philemon vs 21 “Confident of your obedience, I write to you, knowing that you will do even more than I ask.”
Can God say this about me? Is God confident of my obedience? Can he be sure that I will do what he asks of me in all things and even go on to do more? If he asks me to give a shirt away, can I also give my coat in addition? Can God send instructions and say to angel Gabriel, “Give this message to Cynthia. I am confident of her obedience. She will do what I ask and even more.” Lord help me. I think in this area I would be found wanting.
I want to obey. I want you to be confident of my obedience Lord. I want you to be able to rely on me to be a dependable instrument you can use on the earth. Forgive my disobedience in so many areas. Holy Spirit, help me to obey, that God may say he is confident of my obedience and that he knows that I will do even more than what he asks of me.
I choose radical obedience.

WHERE THERE IS A WILL THERE IS A WAY
Fasting has never been one of my great achievements at all. When I first got saved I would fast often but it was usually a struggle. I would grit my teeth and get through it. Bad as it may sound; I actually had great experiences with the Lord and loved our time together. But the hunger pangs were not easy to deal with. I am rediscovering fasting and the power behind it. This is one of the most powerful disciplines of the Christian life.
Yesterday my BFF and I were fasting for some particular things we need to happen in our lives. I was surprised at the amount of grace I had. Even though I felt hungry it was not excruciating hunger pains. Well, this morning I began talking it over with the Lord and he said to me, “If you have the will, I will always extend the grace and make a way to see you through. That is why the saying ‘where there is a will there is a way’ has truth in it.” I was so excited! That just opened up all kinds of possibilities for me. It means I can get up in the morning, tell the Lord I am willing to achieve ABC today, ask for the grace and the way to be made for me to achieve and then get busy. Isn’t he a good God?!!
Well, that is my plan moving forward. I pray about what I need to do. Tell him I am willing to accomplish those things within the given time and then ask for grace and a way to be made. This is going to be fun! I always enjoy my projects with the Lord.

AWOL
I have been AWOL this year but all has been well. I have just had so much going on between my new job, moving to my own place and so much more. But I am well, and God has been good to me. I have been a little stressed lately. Why I procrastinate so much I will never know, but I always end up in a mess. Well, God was good enough to rescue me from drama of my own making and hopefully things will ease up now.
I have been in the school of worship at my church and graduated last Sunday. Now I look forward to joining the choir and serving God with the voice he gave me. Auditions are on Sunday the 6th. It will be well.
I have been reading the epistles. God has really been pushing me in studying his word and getting what he is about. Sometimes I have no clue what the apostles were saying, but then sometimes he opens up the heavens and I soak it all in. He is a good God. He is faithful and dependable in everything. God bless each one of you!!
