He Has a Plan!!

God has a plan! He has a plan! That is one of the most important things we should know. That when he says "go right" he has a plan. He always has a plan, he always knows what he is doing, he always knows where he is going. You can never be lost with God in the lead.

Jer 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future".

I tend to forget that as I am sure you can tell from my earlier blog. But the truth of the matter is, God will never take you anywhere he cannot sustain you, and bring you out VICTORIOUS!!! Sadly though, past experiences may cloud our judgement and put fear in our hearts so that we do not see God but our issues. You may have attempted to lose weight for many years with heartbreaking results, you may have started business after business and each one has failed. Now you are in a place where you have given up on losing weight and on having your own business. Don't let the devil derail you!! God has a plan.

Peter was in the same place you are at in Luke 5. He had just come from the most disappointing fishing trip of his life. He was disillusioned and tired. He just was not having any more of it, at least not that day. So here comes Jesus and he tells him: "Put out into deep water, and let down[b] the nets for a catch." Pete looks at the Lord and says "Master, we've worked hard all night and haven't caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets." He said "Dude!!! I did that already!" Don't you ever feel that way? Like God is telling you something you have done before and failed miserably. You are not even willing to go there anymore. And guess what? He may not even change the method. He may say go back and send that email again. Go back and call that guy again, and say the same thing... again! The whole time you are thinking "the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again hoping for different results!!" But this time it is different. This time the Lord is the one who has given the instruction. This time it is God who has said "Launch into the deep, and let down you net!!!"

I had one of my Pastor's say that the word "Master" in this passage means that Christ was Lord over Peter, Lord over the fish and the sea as well. And he is! So when Jesus gave the command to throw his net back in the water, he also gave the command to that particular school of fish to come into the net!! How about that?!

LOL!!!! When God tells you to go back work on your weight, he has also commanded the extra weight to come off you! When he sends you to do business he has already commanded clients for you who will favor you! Hallelujah! He already has a plan. It is all laid out. There is nothing to fear!

vs 6-7 "When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break. So they signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink." Look at that. They had so much they had to share just to survive, just to get to the shore they had to sow seed into other peoples lives. This is our portion. Our God is an extravagant God! He NEVER does anything on a small scale. If your going to kill someone, it needs to be Goliath. God will bless you so much, that just to make it you will have to give to others!!

So wherever God leads he has already made provision. He has already, made the way. He has already commanded your victory from Zion. We are blessed! So God says this morning:

Isaiah 43:18-19
"Forget the former things;
do not dwell on the past.

See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the desert
and streams in the wasteland.

Forget the disappointments of the past. Throw in your net but one more time, and see the deliverance of your God!!!
