HE WILL NEVER FORSAKE ME
The other day I sinned in such a way as to shock myself. I have read in books by Mahesh Chavda that fasting is like skimming milk. It causes that which is hidden within you to rise so God can skim it off you. Boy! Did it ever! I could not believe myself. Anyway, in the midst of all my guilt and shame God took that opportunity to teach me about his unmerited favor and what it means when he says I will never leave you nor forsake you.
Flash back to Calvary. Jesus is hanging on that cross for you and me and a great divine exchange is taking place. All our sins are being placed on him so that he is black with it. God the Father, who cannot stand sin backs away from Jesus turning his face away from him. Up till now Jesus has had the awesome presence of the Almighty giving him strength. He feels the Father withdraw from him and cries “Eloi, Eloi, lama Sabachthani?” which means “My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?” He is totally alone in the world. Utterly naked and abandoned because of the sin that now covers him. But guess what? He went through that so that you and I will never be forsaken even when we fall. What a divine exchange!
If you have accepted the covering of the cross of Jesus which is salvation, when God looks at you he sees you through the lens of what happened on Calvary. This means that when you sin, like I did, God looks at you, sees the blood of Calvary and stays by your side. He never, ever forsakes you because he already forsook Christ at Calvary. When you repent he is quick to forgive you and wash away that guilty stain.
Usually when I sin in a big way (in my human mind there are dimensions of sin) even though I repent I am racked with guilt. Then I go around worrying that God will leave me because of what I did and that he won’t help me anymore or show me the favor I have been enjoying in him up until the “great” sin. This time he told me that no matter what I do, he will not leave me nor forsake me. I must repent and turn away from the sin but his commitment to me, as long as I am in Christ is that he will always be by my side and with that, he will always give me his unmerited favor which is my help.
Christians tend to think that if we are spotless then God will favor us. In truth, there is nothing we can do to merit or deserve God’s favor. That is why it is unmerited favor. You can’t earn it. He just gives it to you. Got it!! The notion that when you sin God backs away from you, which is how many of us were taught about what happened at Calvary, is a half truth. When God sees me, he sees his son on Calvary, remembers that my sins past, present and future are already paid for and stays right by my side. What an awesome revelation! Therefore I can still approach the throne of God with boldness to repent of my sin and ask for the blood of Calvary to wash away that guilty stain so that I will still be presented on that day without spot or wrinkle.

Promises of God - Yea and Amen!!
I have spoken of Isaiah 45 on this blog before, the passage from which I get my calling and purpose from the Lord. To plunder the enemies kingdom of the hidden treasures in secret places. For a while now I have been feeling messed up on the inside. Unfulfilled. I have been seeking God about my purpose and how to accomplish it. One of the things that has been ringing in my spirit for the last few weeks has been the name "Baal Perazim" which means God of the breakthrough. For David said "God has broken my enemies by my hand, like the bursting forth of waters." Now I am beginning to understand.I have been having great warfare and yesterday was a particularly war filled day, but God broke through for me. During my prayers, I began to call him Baal Perazim over and over again. This morning I woke up and I felt the Lord impress in me that I will need a foundation to Manage the funds he will put in my hand. I have been mulling on a name for it all day. Then just now the Lord said to me that my harvest will come in like the breaking forth of many waters. There shall be much of it and it shall come out fast and furious. It will literally gush forth. I shall be like my mentor Mr. Wahome who woke up a pauper one day and went to sleep worth Ksh. 17 million that night and it has never stopped coming. The phrase "pile up gold as dust" just keeps ringing in my mind. The gold is coming and so is the Silver, I need a foundation to distribute the funds of the Lord to those who need them.
Zechariah 9:3
3And Tyrus did build herself a strong hold, and heaped up silver as the dust, and fine gold as the mire of the streets
If a Pagan King can do it with the help of the devil, how much more I, a child of the Most High God?
Job 22:21-30
21Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee.
22Receive, I pray thee, the law from his mouth, and lay up his words in thine heart.
23If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles.
24Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust, and the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brooks.
25Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defence, and thou shalt have plenty of silver.
26For then shalt thou have thy delight in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face unto God.
27Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee, and thou shalt pay thy vows.
28Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.
29When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person.
30He shall deliver the island of the innocent: and it is delivered by the pureness of thine hands.
This word just blessed my heart and I have just now seen it. You know how the word calls them "hidden treasures in secret places?" it is because only the devil knows where they are hidden. But they exist, and no one can find them except the Lord. Therefore in Isaiah 45 he says "I will take you by the hand...I will give you the treasures of darkness, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the LORD, he God of Israel, who summons you by name." Only God knows where the treasures are and only he can lead me to them. Now this is the word that blew my mind. It is found in the book of Job 28:7,8,23,24
"There is a path which no fowl knoweth, and which the vulture's eye hath not seen:
The lion's whelps have not trodden it, nor the fierce lion passed by it...
God understandeth the way thereof, and he knoweth the place thereof.
For he looketh to the ends of the earth, and seeth under the whole heaven;"
There is a path to the hidden treasures in secret places. A hidden path that no one and nothing know about. But God understands the way and knows the place where the treasures are. For nothing is hidden from his sight. He looks to the ends of the earth and sees everything under heaven. He shall take my hand and lead me there. That I may pile gold as dust, as mire in the streets for the sake of Israel his beloved. It is so, for it cannot be otherwise. In Jesus Holy and Mighty Name, Amen!
Sow in the Famine! Don't Stop Now!
The Lord just kept ministering to my heart as I meditated on that word. This is our year of distinction and they that know their God shall continue to flourish in the midst of trouble. As I thought about that word, I began to wonder what that word "know" meant. Many of the people suffering at this time are Christians who I believe know and love God. So what is this knowing? The Lord said to me that knowing him meant not just being saved and reading the word of God, but entering into covenant with him and obeying the terms of the covenant which are laid out in his word.
He caused me to meditate on the last 7 months and how he accelerated my giving. I have never given the way I have done these last seven months. I gave sacrificially and didn't even realize it. I sowed so much seed that the enemy began to come against me. At one point I began to wonder what it was all about. I began to wonder if I had been deceived. The devil would say to me "look around you, what do you have to show for what you earn? You have given it all away." One time when the enemy was working me seriously I asked the Lord why he would not let me save and his answer was, "But you are saving. Where rust and moth do not destroy." That had not been the answer I was looking for, but I entered rest about saving and the peace of God was able to govern within me.
Today the Lord said to me that things will continue to be tough but in the famine I must keep on sowing. Just like Isaac did in Genesis 26. The distinction between the righteous and the wicked will be clear moving forward. Those who are his will be gathered to him and will flourish even in a barren land. The Lord revealed to me that the reason he had me sowing so much was because he knew that a famine was coming and just like in the days of Joseph, he had me store up abundantly during the time of plenty so that I will not feel the famine, and so that I will be a light for those who will suffer from it.
I am reminded of the hymn below known as Bringing In The Sheaves:
Sowing in the morning, sowing seeds of kindness,
Sowing in the noontide and the dewy eve;
Waiting for the harvest, and the time of reaping,
We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves.
Refrain
Bringing in the sheaves, bringing in the sheaves,
We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves,
Bringing in the sheaves, bringing in the sheaves,
We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves,
Sowing in the sunshine, sowing in the shadows,
Fearing neither clouds nor winter’s chilling breeze;
By and by the harvest, and the labor ended,
We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves.
Refrain
Going forth with weeping, sowing for the Master,
Though the loss sustained our spirit often grieves;
When our weeping’s over, He will bid us welcome,
We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves.
Refrain
Sowing can be painful, especially when you are broke or when God demands what we think is "just too much!" But one thing I know, that God is faithful to make sure that you reap a harvest if you faint not.
Psalm 126:5-6 says
Those who sow in tears
Shall reap in joy.
He who continually goes forth weeping,
Bearing seed for sowing,
Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing,
Bringing his sheaves with him.
The word says "continually goes forth" you must sow and keep on sowing. No giving up, no stopping, no reducing the amount you sow in fact, if you can, increase it. The word says you shall "doubtless" i.e there is no doubt about it, i.e FO SHO, there is a harvest for you and you shall come rejoicing carrying your harvest singing the Nigerian chorus:
Come and see oh...
Come and see
Come and see what the Lord has done x4
I believe my season for harvest has come. I shall begin to see my harvest and shall sing a new song to the Lord. Many times I have sown in tears, but I will now come back with laughter. Hey! My God has done it for me oh! Come and see!!!!

CONFIDENT OF YOUR OBEDIENCE…
Can God say this about me? Is God confident of my obedience? Can he be sure that I will do what he asks of me in all things and even go on to do more? If he asks me to give a shirt away, can I also give my coat in addition? Can God send instructions and say to angel Gabriel, “Give this message to Cynthia. I am confident of her obedience. She will do what I ask and even more.” Lord help me. I think in this area I would be found wanting.
I want to obey. I want you to be confident of my obedience Lord. I want you to be able to rely on me to be a dependable instrument you can use on the earth. Forgive my disobedience in so many areas. Holy Spirit, help me to obey, that God may say he is confident of my obedience and that he knows that I will do even more than what he asks of me.
I choose radical obedience.

My Lost Coin!
But there are things I thought I would have accomplished by now and I still have not seen any sign that God has answered those prayers. Like marriage and a family of my own. Sometimes my heart is very downcast when I contemplate my age, my gynecological history and the lack of a man in my life. I get to the place where I ask like Abraham, "You have given me all these things and all these fabulous promises, but what good is it for my servant Eliezer will inherit it all when I am gone?" (my paraphrase).
I thought I was being ungrateful and silly until I read the story of the lost coin in Luke 15:8-9
"Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins and loses one. Does she not light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it? And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together and says, 'Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin.'"
Without a husband and a family in my life I don't feel complete. I have 9 coins and I, like this woman, am frantically searching for my lost coin. I am sweeping and cleaning looking for this lost coin. And when I find it, for I SHALL FIND IT, you all must rejoice with me. Why I'm I so certain of this? Because God exists. He is, and is a rewarder of those that diligently seek him. I know for sure because the Zeal of the Lord shall accomplish it for me. He shall do it. I am so blessed. I love this God so much. I love him to smithereens!!!!

Wow!!
Joshua 1:8
"Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful"
As you keep God's word on your mind, mouth and actions the results are 3 John 2
"Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth."
You prosper all round. Your soul begins to prosper from the revelations that God downloads, you get material wealth and health as well.
I just never saw that before. So the way to fulfill God's highest wish for man "...I wish above all things..." is to keep his word in your mouth, meditate on it and do it. Are we blessed or what ya'll?!!!!

Days of Our Lives
The Bible says in Ps 139:16-17 (Which I have read many times before too) "Your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them!"
Before any of us was created God saw us and knew who we were and what he wanted us to accomplish. He opened up a book and wrote the days of our lives in it. He wrote what you would be called, your sex, where you would be born, which tribe you would belong to, what your complexion would be, your color and race, the size of your nose, the color of your eyes etc… Then he wrote which schools you would attend and whether or not you would go to university. After that, he went on to write where you would work, who you would marry, how many children you would have etc… He followed his own advice in Habakkuk 2:2-3
"…Write down the vision and make it plain on tablets that he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie…"
Then he sealed the scroll in which he wrote your life story and awaited the appointed time for the opening of the scroll (Rev 5:1). This scroll holds the plan for your life. What you are supposed to do, with who, where…. The works!! Because of the fall of man, we cannot accomplish what is written on the scroll until we receive Christ as Lord of our lives. In fact, we cannot access the scroll without the blood of Jesus and accepting him as Lord of our lives. Rev 5:1-10
"And I saw in the right hand of Him who sat on the throne a scroll written inside and on the back, sealed with seven seals…no one in heaven or on the earth, or under the earth was able to open the scroll, or to look at it…no one was found worthy to open and read the scroll, or to look at it…Behold, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, The Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals…He came and took the scroll out of the right hand of Him who sat on the throne…And they sang a new song, saying: 'you are worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals, for you were slain, and have redeemed us to God by your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation and have made us kings and priests to our God; and we shall reign on the earth'."
When Christ died on Calvary he received the right to open up the scroll and see what was written in it and not just that, but by His Holy Spirit he reveals to us what is written in our scrolls so that we can truly be kings and priests to our God and reign on the earth. Only by walking out what God ordained for us before we were formed can we truly rule and reign on the earth. Anything apart from that means that we have missed the mark and can not fully fill the place God ordained for us.
Hence Jesus said in John 16:7 "…it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you."
Why is it to your advantage? Because "… when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth (the whole truth about who you are, what you are about, what your purpose and destiny is etc)…" vs 13 and according to 1 Cor 2:9-10 "…Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love him (because until now, the scroll has been sealed) But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God."
With Christ's victory at Calvary, and the unsealing of the scroll, the Holy Spirit can now search the scroll to see what is written in there about you and then reveal it to you so that you can walk out your destiny in God. Jn 16:14 "He will glorify me, for he will take of (receive and draw upon) what is mine and declare (reveal, disclose, transmit) it to you." Can you see it? The Holy Spirit searches the depths of God concerning you then he reveals it to you!!! The scroll written about you is full of the thoughts of God for you in particular!! The mysteries of why God made you are written in it. They mysteries of what you are to do now and in the future are written in it. But the only way to access the information therein is to receive Christ as Savior and Lord and then allow the Holy Spirit to come into your life and do what he needs to.
Oh Spirit of the Living God, my manifestation as a son of the Most High God is dependent on you revealing to me what is in that scroll for this season and the seasons to come. I cannot be all God wants me to be until I know what he has planned for me. The word says not to be ignorant but to know God's good and perfect will for me. Reveal it to me Holy Spirit. Draw from Christ and disclose to me the purpose and direction for this season in Jesus Name. Holy Spirit, I cannot make it without you. You are my senior partner in every area. Lord Jesus, sanctify me and remove anything in my life that is not in the scroll for me right now. Remove relationships, jobs, things, plans anything that is not in the scroll for me. I align myself with the plans of God for me before time began. I align myself with the thoughts of God for me in this season. I decree that my ears hear, my eyes see and my heart conceives what God has in store for me as revealed by His Spirit in Jesus Name. Amen!
My Senior Partner
1 Cor 2:1-5 says:
"When I came to you brothers, I did not come with eloquence or superior wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God. For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. I came to you in weakness and fear, and with much trembling, my message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power, so that your faith might not rest on men's wisdom, but on God's power."
This job that I now hold will require that I stand before men of great wealth, position and honor. That is enough to fulfill the weakness, fear and trembling part. However, God has been so kind to me and has put my mind at ease. Usually, when you want to make a presentation you want to use clever words and use persuasive speech in order to get buy in. God said that like Paul, I need to partner with the Holy Ghost. Mine is to make the presentation in plain speech and the Holy Spirit will do the persuading on my behalf.
It makes it so easy to know that I don't have to convince them to buy in. The Holy Spirit will do that. All I have to do is prepare my presentation, be informed and ready and the Holy Spirit will do the rest. I love knowing that he will be there with me, touching them and convincing them to buy into what I am selling. God is so faithful.
If you are out there either marketing, selling, branding, doing business in any way. Partner with the Spirit of the Living God and see what comes out of it. I am so blessed by God. It makes life so easy and lifts the burden of thinking 'I have to do a really good job of convincing them or I'm out.' Not so. Do your part and let the Holy Spirit, your senior partner do the rest. HE will bring about the desired result!

The Power of Covenant
Deuteronomy 8:18 states that he gives you the ability to gain wealth so that he may confirm his covenant with our fathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Money must come into your hand as a confirmation of the covenant. None of our covenant fathers was poor. In fact God went against nature to ensure that wealth was put in their hand. He preserved them in famine and when people were trying to defraud them.
Genesis 26:12-14 and 31:6-13 are perfect examples of covenant in place. Even in the famine, when all was going wrong around him Isaac sowed and reaped a hundred fold. Last year I began to pray to the Lord that I would not work for others all the days of my life and that he would cut me a flock like he did for Jacob. I did not know what I was praying about, but God knew that I would need to start my own business and had planned for me to do so this year. As I worked for my employer, I gained knowledge and skill that enabled me to start a business so that I too could cut a flock for myself.
If you will learn the power of covenant you will realize that nature cannot stand in the face of it. It does not make sense that sheep would change their DNA just by looking at stripped branches. If they changed their DNA with everything they looked at we would have a ton of green sheep from looking at grass!! But when covenant kicks in the supernatural takes over suspending the laws of nature. Jacob says that an angel appeared to him in a vision and told him in vs 12 'Look up and see that all the male goats mating with the flock are streaked, speckled and spotted…" God changed the DNA of the male goats such that the flock had no choice but to multiply in Jacobs favor!
We are in a time of recession and it does not make sense that my income would almost triple within months, when huge companies are shutting down. But I held on to the covenant and God has done it for me. I know that his desire is to prove his covenant true for each one of us. On April 15th this year the Lord asked me a question. He said 'what do you see?" and I replied just like Jeremiah had done in Jer 1:11-12 "I see the branch of an almond tree." And he said to me "You have seen well, for I am watching over my word to fulfill it."
What are you seeing at this time? The word of the Lord says that 'At destruction and famine you shall laugh' (Job 5:22). Are you laughing during this recession? If not, begin to put God in remembrance of his covenant and let the covenant work for you. Let the covenant speak on your behalf like it did for Isaac and Jacob. I pray that you will begin to know God by experience. There is no better way to draw near to the master than by hearing him for yourself and walking in obedience to his word.
Double For My Trouble!
Well, the devil intended it for evil but God intended it for good. In that time of trial and transition I realized that I was not going to stay there long. It was quit or get fired so I decided to quit. I started applying for various jobs that I saw on the internet. I really did not have a game plan and was only trusting that God would take care of me.
God is faithful! I put in for a job that I frankly did not think I could get. It was way beyond my league. This company in South Africa was expanding to East Africa and needed an East African Regional Manager. Come and see me applying for the job when the most I had ever been was General Manager of a start up call center.
The doings of God are stranger than fiction. I got the job! Just like that. God opened that door and gave me the job. I start on Monday June 29th with a trip to South Africa. The director who had been hating on me in the other job had said that I was overpaid and had even put forward a motion to reduce my salary by quite a bit. Secondly, by the leading of the Lord, I had turned down two very good opportunities while I waited for this particular opportunity.
God did not disappoint. My salary was more than doubled in my new position. Talk about double for my trouble! Additionally, while I was waiting on the Lord to open up this position, I had begun a business on the side and that too has flourished bringing in a good amount of income as well. Now instead of one source of income I have two. Everything is coming in doubles! That is the power of Covenant.
I am so blessed by the Lord and his goodness. Perhaps the most important change is what is happening on the inside of me as God is bringing me closer to himself and teaching me to become the prophetic entrepreneur he has called me to be. What a wonderful God we serve. He will come through for you too because he is faithful. God bless!!

Warrior Spirit
The story of Samson says severally that the Holy Spirit would come upon him giving him the strength to fight. Whether he was ripping a lion apart with his bare hands or killing 1000 philistines with the jaw bone of a donkey he was full of the Spirit of God who came on him POWERFULLY!!.
The Bible says that where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty. Think about that word for a second. Liberty implies that there was bondage at some point and the person had to be freed. To bring the liberty of the Spirit, there must be a war waged against your enemies to free you. So the Holy Spirit comes on you powerfully and gives you the ability to fight your oppressor and find Liberty in God. He fights for you, in you and through you.
Whatever you are struggling with be it unruly thoughts, vulgar language, sexual sin, self esteem issues and any other thing that may have you in bondage, ask the Holy Spirit to come on you powerfully that you may find liberty from these things.
Now here is a twist to the story. Many people think that Samson’s strength was in his hair and that is why when the hair was cut off he had no more strength. Not so! The hair was a symbol and part of the terms of the Nazarite covenant (there is that word again!). In this covenant, a Nazarite, according to Numbers 6:1-21, was not to cut off his hair. This was the sign that he was separated unto the Lord.
Samson was a Nazarite from birth. He was separated to the Lord with the sign of uncut hair all the days of his life. These were the terms of the covenant. As long as the hair was unshaven, he was separated to God for holy use. Therefore the Spirit of the Lord would come on him in power and he could do all sorts of mighty acts.
The day the hair was cut off his head, the terms of the covenant were broken and God could no longer fulfill his part of the covenant. You have to understand that with covenant you must do your part first and prove yourself faithful and then God will do his. The Bible says that after his hair was cut off and Delilah told him the philistines had come for him, he woke up and thought to himself “I will shake myself free like I have done before.” However, he did not realize that the Lord had left him. Why did the Lord leave him? Because he had violated the terms of the covenant.
Later, his hair begins to grow again. Now please understand that the word says that God keeps covenant forever. In fact it says “My covenant I will not break.” So as Samson’s hair begins to grow again, he is once more meeting the requirements of the covenant, and because God cannot break covenant he can once more come upon him in might. And the Word says that Samson asks God to be with him just one more time. God is bound by his covenant to Samson and because his hair is in place the Lord answers him. In the end, he kills more philistines than he did all his life.
The power of covenant cannot be fathomed. There is so much power in it and covenant is what Christianity is built on. That is why the word of God is called the Old Covenant (Testament) and the New Covenant. This word spells out the terms of our Covenant with God. If you will be found faithful in keeping the terms of this covenant, then God will confirm his covenant with you by blessing you, making you fruitful and increasing you in every way. That means spiritually, in your soul and in your body. He will also give you material wealth like we have seen with Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David and Solomon to name a few.
Deut 8:18 says that “you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the power to get wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your forefathers, as it is today.” Giving you wealth is his way of confirming his covenant with you.
What a mighty God we serve. Be liberated from bondage by the Spirit of the Living God and may he also come on you powerfully to empower you to get wealth. May he confirm his covenant with you. Amen!

Covenant of Peace
Jehovah is a God of Covenant. Just like he made covenants with Noah, Abraham and the rest, he longs to covenant with you so that he will be your God forever. The blood of the covenant has already been shed in Jesus our Lord, and when you get saved you enter into the 'New Covenant' but I find that the understanding of all we get, our redemption package is lacking. You will never walk in what you are ignorant of. That is a fact. As such, I have determined to find out what the various covenants in God's word are and to do them. With God, no amount of prayer, fasting or tears can get him to do something for you if you are out of covenant. You have to know what needs to be done to activate each covenant in your life. Today I studied the covenant of peace and came up with the following things to do, to ensure that God gives you peace.
1. Seek to know God (2 Peter 1:2, Matt 11:28-29)
2. Be led of God (Ps 23:1-2, Is 48:17-18)
3. Trust in God at all times (Ps 125:1, Is 26:3, Ps 119:165)
4. Be conscious of the Divine Presence you carry (Ps 23:4, Matt 28:20)
5. Be zealous for God (Num 25:10-12)
Once you line up with the covenant requirements, Peace will be ushered into your life.
